Field Season 2026: Aurora Minerals Group and Aurora Geophysics — Operating Across Kazakhstan

May: 5,000 km Reconnaissance

In May, our team conducted a large-scale reconnaissance campaign across Kazakhstan for two international clients, covering over 5,000 km in the field.

There is a reason clients trust us with assignments of this scale. Our specialists at Aurora Minerals Group are fluent in English and operate in accordance with international standards — not as a formal requirement, but as part of our operational culture. We invest systematically in our people: training, professional development, and continuous upskilling are among our core priorities. Our own fleet of 4WD vehicles, route monitoring systems, mandatory field equipment protocols and pre-departure safety briefings underpin everything we do in the field.

June: Geochemical and Lithogeochemical Programmes, Karaganda Region

In June, Aurora Minerals Group ran multiple field programmes simultaneously in the Karaganda Region, including a geochemical sampling programme for a major international mining company and a lithogeochemical programme for First Quantum Minerals (FQM).

The data generated through these programmes will be used by the clients to refine geological models, identify prospective mineralised zones and plan subsequent stages of exploration.

Upon completion of the programmes, clients acknowledged the high quality of geological support, operational efficiency and professionalism of the field teams. Particular recognition was given to the work of the company's senior Geologists for their management of sampling programmes, quality control of field data and coordination of field operations.

Geophysics: Aurora Geophysics Operating Nationwide

Aurora Geophysics is simultaneously active across multiple regions of Kazakhstan. This season saw the launch of a UAV magnetic survey programme utilising the GEM Cardinal GSMP-20U(B) system by GEM Systems Inc., mounted on a DJI Matrice 400 platform — with approximately 2,300 line kilometres currently in progress across various regions. Two crews are executing large-scale induced polarization and resistivity (IP/Res) surveys; a third crew is conducting ground magnetic surveys. Field capacity has been expanded through the addition of GDD equipment, improving both operational speed and data quality.

A further growth area is borehole geophysical logging — a division the company is steadily building out in terms of both instrumentation and data interpretation expertise.

"The 2026 field season is one of the most demanding in the company's history. Multiple workstreams are running simultaneously, our geographic footprint spans the entire country, and our clients are international companies with exacting standards. It is precisely under these conditions that the true capability of a team is tested. Over ten years, we have built the people and the systems to deliver projects of varying scale across different regions — all running in parallel while maintaining the operational standards expected by our clients ," — Said Sultanov, CEO, Aurora Minerals Group.

Field Season 2026 continues.
