Role Overview:
Aurora Limited is looking for a seasoned Resource Geologist specializing in the exploration and evaluation of copper-porphyry systems to enhance our exploration team. This vital role requires a professional with a strong foundation in geology, specifically skilled in the use of Micromine for block modeling, as well as soil sampling and mapping. The successful candidate will bring a wealth of exploration experience and the ability to effectively communicate in English, contributing to our mission of sustainable resource development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently plan and lead exploration activities, including geological mapping, soil sampling, geophysical surveys, drilling and sampling programs for resource potential assessment, resource identification and evaluation.
- Analyze geological data meticulously, preparing detailed reports and recommendations for mining and exploration strategies.
- Expertly manage the Mineral Resource Estimation process including developing block models using Micromine software, ensuring accurate resource estimation.
- Collaborate with exploration teams, contributing to the development and implementation of comprehensive exploration plans.
- Uphold the highest standards of environmental compliance and sustainability in all exploration activities.
- Communicate effectively with management, team members, and stakeholders, providing clear and concise updates on exploration findings and progress.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- At least 7 years of professional experience in resource geology of Cu-Mo-Au deposits (copper-porphyry and epithermal systems), with a focus on exploration and resource estimation. Experience with other types of deposits will be an advantage.
- Proficiency in Micromine software and a solid understanding of geological modeling and resource estimation techniques.
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related discipline. Advanced degrees will be considered an asset.
- Demonstrated exploration experience, with a proven track record of success in identifying and evaluating mineral resources.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken, is essential for effective communication within our international team and network.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage recruitment, selection and onboarding processes to attract and retain top talent.
Oversee performance management and employee development programmes.
Manage employee relations, conflict resolution and grievance procedures.
Ensure compliance with all labour laws and regulations and maintain accurate personnel records.
Implement and maintain HR policies and procedures to promote a positive workplace culture.
Manage compensation and benefits programmes including salary reviews and benchmarking.
Oversee HR analytics and reporting for data-driven decision making.
Continually evaluate and improve HR processes and workflows.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field (Master's degree preferred).
Proven experience of at least 5 years as a Human Resources Manager in a supervisory position as a Human Resources Manager.
In-depth knowledge of labour laws.
Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional problem solving and decision making abilities.
Experience with HR programmes and tools.
HR certification (e.g. SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
