Aurora Minerals Group's drilling unit is actively growing, improving performance, working conditions and business processes. Continuous and consistent improvement is part of Aurora Group policy.
In addition to shallow holes (up to 500m), NovaDrilling offers drilling of deep holes (1,000-1,300m) in HQ, NQ and HQ3 design diameters.
NovaDrilling drills both conventional and triple-column sets, the core is oriented with ACT3 Core Orientators, and intermediate inclinometry measurements are entered with the Reflex EzTrac inclinometer. Once drilling is complete, the borehole column is checked with a Reflex Gyro Sprint gyroscopic inclinometer.
"You can't improve what you can't measure."
The drilling unit pays great attention to production metrics. Many indicators are measured on an ongoing basis, allowing for effective planning, monitoring and encouragement.
The Drilling Unit achieved the following results between January and October 2022:
- Top 4 crowns in passability:
- Record-breaking drill bits begin to form a museum in the Aurora Minerals Group office.
- Top 4 holes in terms of depth:
- In 2021, the deepest hole drilled was considered to be 750 p.m. deep. HQ3, in 2022 this record was broken twice.
The ADR-05 team was awarded specially prepared branded gifts for a hole of 1,000 linear meters.
To recognize and reward crews who share Aurora Minerals Group's values. The Aurora Minerals Group Flag is awarded based on monthly performance.
For the month of July, the flag was flown at the ADR-05 site in August.
According to the results of August, the flag flew on ADR-01 in September. However, the intrigue of whether ADR-05 will retain the flag in September persisted until the last days of August.
The Group intends to continue to work consistently to improve exploration practices.
