Aurora Minerals Group remains committed to the transfer of high-tech solutions to the Kazakh mineral exploration market, and continues to actively promote and use innovative technologies in all areas of its operations.

We are pleased to announce the acquisition of the latest generation gyroscopic downhole survey tool GYRO SPRINT-IQ manufactured by REFLEX, Australia. Gyroscopic downhole surveying is the most accurate and fastest method for determining the angle and azimuth of drilling and is widely used by our companies AQS and NovaDrilling during this type of work. Aurora today is the first company in the CIS region that has acquired an advanced model of the REFLEX gyro.

Damir Kyzyr, Director of AQS “We are pleased to have one of the most sought-after and technologically advanced downhole survey tools at our disposal. As a result, our company gains a significant advantage in drilling quality and efficiency, which will make it even more competitive.”

The REFLEX GYRO SPRINT-IQ™ delivers high survey accuracy twice that of today's gyro tools, while at the same time allowing you to survey up to three times faster than current industry gyro inclinometers. Thus, the drilling crew spends their production time directly on drilling a well, rather than on controlling its direction.

REFLEX GYRO SPRINT-IQ is capable of continuous measurement mode, while the user gets instant access to spatial data through the IMDEXHUB-IQ cloud solution. When working in continuous mode, the speed of measuring the angle and azimuth of the well is up to 150 meters per minute, which allows us to quickly make decisions without compromising drilling speed, and as a result, increase drilling productivity and optimize the entire work process.

Another advantage of the REFLEX GYRO SPRINT-IQ gyroscopic inclinometer is the ability to measure true north without the risk of magnetic interference. This tool has passed numerous tests for the accuracy and speed of determining the direction of the well in Australia and is far ahead of the competition.
