Geophysical company Aurora AG Limited continues field season in various regions of Kazakhstan. The company performs airborne, ground and downhole geophysical surveys using modern methods and technologies.

Currently, Aurora AG Limited, together with its exclusive partner Xcalibur Multiphysics performs complex magnetic and radiometric survey using MIDAS technology. The MIDAS survey system utilizes two magnetic sensors installed within a 14 m fixed transverse boom fitted to the helicopter skids. Multiple sensors allow for the calculation of horizontal magnetic gradient information. Two radiometric crystal packs including one upward looking crystal are installed as part of the radiometric system. The selected platform undergoes stringent checks to ensure clean magnetic and radiometric data. The use of high maneuverability Airbus AS350 B3e helicopter at this project enables lower flying heights, the highest resolution and sensitivity data.

Earlier this season, Aurora AG Limited successfully completed a helicopter transient electromagnetic survey project using the advanced low frequency survey system HeliTEM. The survey was carried out in the Rudny Altai of the East Kazakhstan region, the total size of the completed survey was 3 640 line kilometers.

In addition to airborne geophysical surveys, the company is currently performing ground geophysical works, specifically magnetic and IP electrical surveys. Detailed magnetic surveys are carried out using modern GEM GSM-19W magnetometers based on the Overhauser effect, while for electrical exploration works Aurora AG Limited uses a proprietary technique that allows it to reach investigation depths of up to 500 meters. Ground geophysical works are carried out in Akmola, Karaganda, East Kazakhstan, Aktobe and Zhambyl regions.

Aurora AG Limited continues to carry out comprehensive downhole logging operations including inclinometry, gamma ray, resistivity, induced polarization and magnetic susceptibility. Works are carried out in Pavlodar, Akmola and Karaganda regions.

In May of this year, Aurora AG Limited purchased the latest generation GYRO SPRINT-IQ gyro inclinometer manufactured by REFLEX, Australia, and is actively using it to accompany diamond drilling operations.

Aurora AG Limited is a leading Kazakhstani geophysical company, continues to perform works maintaining highest quality and safety standards.
