Aurora Minerals Group's drilling division (Aurora Quest Services, jointly with NovaDrilling) completed the Core Drilling for Geotechnical and Hydrogeological Surveys project in the Pavlodar region without a single injury and according to quality requirements.
Within the project framework, the Drilling division performed the following types of works: triple core drilling with core orientation, packer surveys, piezometers installation, photo documentation and core description.
The equipment was inspected, serviced, and inventoried before the next volume began. After completion of preparatory work, drilling rigs with auxiliary equipment began the new Drilling project with Oriented Core.
Aurora Minerals Group is consistent in its initiative to implement ESG (environmental, social, governance) policies when conducting exploration activities. As part of strengthening process governance policies, HSE Advisors maintain a training matrix, and annually all personnel receive training in the following disciplines:
- Fire Safety;
- Electrical safety;
- Health and safety;
- Work at height;
- Industrial safety at hazardous production facilities;
- Responsible for the safe execution of works at GPM (Slinger, Welder);
- Providing pre-hospital care.
In parallel with the fieldwork, we are actively training personnel. For this purpose, the intermittent leave personnel gathered in Nur-Sultan, a hotel and a shuttle service are arranged.
At the end of the training, personnel undergo health and safety knowledge testing, in particular: Electrical Safety Knowledge Testing, Fire Safety Knowledge Testing, and Industrial Safety Knowledge Testing.
The group intends to continue to work consistently to improve practices in exploration.
