Despite the crisis and Covid-19 pandemic, Aurora Minerals Group is conducting exploration works in the Aktobe region since April. The Project task is to re-evaluate the field and explore for new promising areas.
At the beginning of the field season, ground magnetic survey work has been carried out. Qualified foot detachments are involved and advanced Canadian-made GEM GSM-19W magnetic survey equipment is used in order to carry out the assigned tasks. The work was carried out by specialists from Aurora AG Limited. According to the results of magnetic survey interpretation, certain regularities of gold mineralization localization were identified in the structural-d.tectonic scheme of the area, which in turn are promising areas.
Drilling operations are currently underway by NovaDrilling. Three BoylesC6 rigs are deployed at the site, using Sandvik drilling tools proven in the most challenging geological sections. To date, over 6,500 running meters have been drilled.
A full range of downhole geophysical surveys accompanied drilling operations. Comprehensive measurements of gamma-ray, intrinsic polarization, induced polarization resistivity, and gyroscopic survey were performed.
All work is carried out in accordance with international reporting standards (JORC) in cooperation with international consulting company RPA UK Ltd.
In the course of all exploration work, the main focus is on human resources. Comfortable conditions for work and rest have been arranged; all HSE norms and rules are observed. Laboratory Covid-19 tests are carried out at the Company’s expense before sending specialists to the site in order to exclude the infection spread at work sites.
