Aurora Minerals Group's Drilling Unit (Aurora Quest Services, jointly with NovaDrilling) is currently performing core drilling for geotechnical and hydrogeological surveys in the Pavlodar Region.
Aurora Minerals Group consistently implements ESG (environmental, social, governance) policies when conducting exploration activities.
The standards and approaches to drilling site development adopted in 2021 have been embedded in the corporate culture from project to project.
A safe work area is created for personnel with minimal environmental impact when preparing drilling sites. The drilling sites are fenced with a tight signal fence to prevent unauthorized entry of people and animals. In addition, a banner with company information, contacts of managers, and a list of necessary personal protective equipment for access to the site is installed in front of the entrance.
Inside the site, there are organized storage areas for fuel and lubricants, pallets for them, separation of waste into different containers, depending on the type of formation. A smoking area, a container for cigarette butts, and a fire extinguisher are organized. Drilling rigs and transport are equipped with oil spill response kits (OSRK).
In addition to the above, the sites have a living car equipped with all the conditions for eating, heating, recreation, and shelter personnel in case of possible emergencies.
Consumables, drilling tools and small inventory items are stored in shipping containers equipped with racks and fenced-off areas, ensuring predictable inventory and a non-disruptive process.
The Group intends to continue to work consistently to improve its exploration practices.
