BIOGRAPHY

Bruce Gaston was born in Belfast, Great Britain.

He graduated from the University of New Brunswick, Canada, with a BA (Hons) History. Bruce also has an MSc Economics, University of London, Birkbeck College specializing in Financial and Macroeconomics.

Prior to working in Eurasia and Kazakhstan, Bruce worked for Deutsche Bank, Credit Suisse, and Chase Manhattan Banks.

He has been a Business Consultant for a number of Resource deals and Financial & Tech Sector Projects since entering the Eurasian market in 1999.

From 2008 to 2014 he was a Founding Partner of SB Group, which was a leading Eurasian corporate finance house specializing in resource deals. In this capacity, Bruce worked closely with international financial institutions including JP Morgan, Credit Suisse, RBS, and Citibank in arranging major debt and project financings.

Since 2009 he is an Independent Director of Wood PSN KSS Kazakhstan JV, a leading oil & gas engineering services company operating in Kazakhstan's pre-Caspian oil & gas basin.

Since 2017 worked as Consultant Director, CFO, and Head of Corporate Finance Consulting for a major Eurasian and Belt & Road Initiative Infrastructure Technology Company.

Bruce's recent experience includes advising the CEO of the Astana International Financial Centre and consulting as an Expert Consultant in founding the Astana International Exchange.

Bruce was a founding Deputy Chairman of one of the first Wealth Management companies in the Almaty Financial Center, Kazakhstan.

Bruce is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and an Associate of CISI.
